Policies and FAQ


We want you to love your purchase from To the Moon! Our processing time is currently 2-4 weeks. Please note that during Easter and Christmas, processing time may be extended to up to 6 weeks. We work hard to ensure that you receive your purchases as quickly as possible, however. If you are purchasing more than one dress, please add an additional week to this time frame. In any circumstance, communication about the status of your order is of utmost importance to us!

 Returns and Exchanges

I hope that you love your purchase from To the Moon! If there is any issue, however, I will do my best to make it right!

Ready Ship Items

  • If you receive any ready-ship item and discover that it is defective, you may return it within 7 days of receipt of shipment and receive an exchange, if available. If the item is a limited-quantity or discontinued item, I will issue a refund to you. If returned items are postmarked after 7 days of receipt, your package will be returned to you with no refund.
  • Please understand that the things I make are intended for personal use, and therefore, I reserve the right to limit the quantity of returns and exchanges. I will not accept items marked, “return to sender”. These items will either be kept by me, or mailed back at the buyer’s expense.
  • Please note that original shipping will not be refunded.

Pre-order Items

  • Most of the items in my shop are considered pre-order items. Ready-to-ship items are indicated as such in the description. Pre-ordered items are made specifically for you in your requested size. Because of this, pre-orders are considered final sale and cannot be returned for a refund. Flawed or defective pre-order item(s) will be exchanged, if available. If this is not possible, I will issue a refund to you. I reserve the right to limit the number of allowable returns, because the items I make are for personal use.
  • Original shipping will not be refunded.

Monogram Orders

  • Please be sure that your initials are correct in the notes- no refunds or returns if the initials on the item match those in your notes.
  • Items with a monogram add-on will require an additional 7-10 days for shipment.
  • We do our best to accommodate custom requests, but if no note is added to the order, monogram will be applied as follows (standard):
  • Rompers and Dresses: Center front of bodice
  • Bloomers: center back of bloomer (on bum)
  • MONOGRAMMED ITEMS are custom, and therefore ARE NOT REFUNDABLE. 
  • If your order is incorrect, per your request notes (if the initials are different than your notes), then your item may be exchanged. Customer pays shipping. 
  • PLACE THE FULL NAME OF THE CHILD (FIRST, MIDDLE, LAST) AND THE ITEM TO BE MONOGRAMMED (for multiple item orders) IN THE NOTES. Monogram orders can not be fulfilled if this is not added. 

 Shipping Options

  • Ready-to-ship items will be shipped within 3-5 business days.
  • Pre-ordered items are made especially for your little one, by me. I do my best to make sure that each item is created with love, and in high-quality. Therefore, please allow 2-4 weeks for your item to ship. I always try to ship my items as quickly as possible, but please understand that each item is handmade (and packaged, and shipped) by only me!
  • During times of extremely high order volume, this shipping time may take longer than 2-4 weeks. Please be mindful when you place your order. Also, don’t forget that if you order more than one item, you must allow an extra week for production time.
  • For Easter and Christmas policies, please allow an additional 2 weeks. Do not worry, your goodies are worth the wait!

Other Policies

  • I do not assume any responsibility for damaged or lost packages once they leave my presence and have been shipped to the customer. I do not guarantee shipment, nor provide any insurance for packages. All Priority Mail shipments are insured for up to $50. The seller does not bear the burden of theft, or missing packages once the package has been delivered to the address given by the purchaser.

 I do not give cash refunds, credit card reversals or adjustments can be authorized online. To the Moon LLC reserves the right to limit returns or exchanges and to verify the original sale before processing an exchange.

 Product Warranty:

 If any malfunctions with the construction occurs, such as stitching in hem comes out, elastic pops, seams undo), you may send the item back to me for free repair at no charge. I will assume the shipping fee if the buyer has first contacted me and received a response concerning the malfunction. Please let me know how I can help you.

 

NORMAL WEAR AND TEAR DAMAGE, SUCH AS RIPS IN FABRIC AND STAINS CONSTITUTES BREACH OF WARRANTY BY THE BUYER AND THEREFORE NULLS ALL EXCEPTIONS FOR EXCHANGE, WARRANTY OR REFUND. I WILL NOT ACCEPT OR REFUND DAMAGED ITEMS DURING SHIPPING. PLEASE SEE RETURN POLICY.

 Unique Items

  • All items in my shop are handmade by me. When you purchase a handmade item, you know that it is truly one-of-a-kind, although I try to ensure each item is as close to the image item as possible. There are times that materials change, and I will update my shop listings as that occurs.

Vintage to New Items

Vintage-to-New items are mostly one-of-a-kind items, and are mostly not reproducible. Therefore, they are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis via my website. All sales are final on vintage-to-new items. No refunds or exchanges will be given on these items.

Payments and Custom Orders

  • I love to make things especially for your little one! Please e-mail me at sales@tothemoonhandmades.com for any custom order requests. I will be happy to help you!
  • Payments are expected at time of order
  • No refunds or exchanges will be given for custom items. I will, however, work with you if you are not satisfied with an item.
  • To the Moon accepts major credit cards, debit, cash and (in some cases) checks via PayPal, Shopify and Square payment venues.
